Album cover and promotional visuals for the 20th anniversary of Beijing Normal–Hong Kong Baptist University.
To celebrate its 20th anniversary, Beijing Normal–Hong Kong Baptist University (BNBU) released its original theme song ‘Grow with U’.
As an alumnus, I was invited to design the album cover and promotional visuals across multiple media platforms. The university aimed to capture the song’s dreamlike atmosphere through the imagery of an aurora night sky.

The key visual features a deep blue and emerald gradient that reflects BNBU’s VI colours. A streak of light inspired by the university’s iconic Golden Finger sculpture cuts across the sky, symbolising aspiration and growth. Ascending meteor-like trails echo the lyric ‘Glow like a star, sailing to the dream’.
The teaser poster incorporates faint vinyl grooves in the background, paired with the shadow of the Golden Finger sculpture to create a sense of mystery and anticipation for the song’s launch.
Special thanks to Emily Wang, Season, and Yankai Gao.
“Thank you, Yancheng, for designing the cover for our uni’s 20th-anniversary theme song. Your design vividly brought our campus spirit to life and gave the song a clear and memorable visual identity. Your thoughtfulness added warmth to the anniversary celebration.”
